Really? Really? I mean REALLY? Coletta and I have been moved into our new apartment for not even two weeks. For the most part is has been great, finding places to put things, organizing, unpacking, decorating, all the fun stuff you do. We moved to my parents house temporarily while we waited for the larger, cheaper 2 bedroom to become available.

Just as I was getting used to the fact that I gave up on home ownership (at least for a year or two) and decided the whole apartment thing was going to work out just fine I quickly realized tonight, like a glass of cold water to the face in the middle of the night, that this wasn’t the case at all.

We did all the night time things… We finally got home around 9 from shopping for the weeks food, watched good old “Cake Boss,” I called my mom to say “love you good night,” we walked the dog, and got to bed before the news was over. Well, Coletta went to bed, I went in the office to work on e-mails and finish up some work to tire my eyes…

BANG! BANG! BANG! I looked at the clock, 30 mins had passed since I kissed Coletta good night. It was 12AM who in the world could be banging at our door??? I thought to myself…there is NO way I’m answering the door, we may live in “Friendship” but the zip is East Liberty. I moved to the bedroom with Coletta who was completely oblivious to my attempt at waking her up let alone the pounding at the door. “Co… Co… (shaking her foot) there is someone pounding on the door, there is no way I’m answering it.” She finally jolted up when she realized I wasn’t the one making the noise. Although she was up, she was only physically up. I listened and heard “PITTSBURGH POLICE.” “Coletta I think they said Police.” I walked to the door shaking at this point, forgetting how to unlock the door (that has no peep hole!). I slowly opened the door.

Sure enough, there stood 2 uniformed Pittsburgh Police. “We have a compliant of noise.” I must have looked so confused and said “what?” They woman went on to explain that 30 mins prior a call came in with a complaint of noise, like “dragging furniture.” As I stood in a dark hallway-no tv on-quite as can be-not even a bark from the dog-apartment it was obvious that we didn’t decide to change the feng shui of the place at 12am. She said what have you been doing in the past hour. I said we were in bed. We came in hours ago.

I think I must have refered to Coletta as “she” and said she has been in bed for awhile. The police officer lady said, “well, where is she now.” “Still in bed,” I said. Stepping in the door, the uniformed woman said, “mind if I…” and motioned down the hallway. I left her past and followed her in to the bedroom where Coletta was rubbing her eyes, hair messed up sitting on our sheet-less mattress wrapped in a pink snuggie, lighted by a 100 watt work light (our temp chandelier).

The police officer said well sorry to have to do this to you, thank you and walked out. I locked the door, but put my ear up. I heard the older woman’s voice coming from down the stairwell, “Hopefully now this will make it stop.” WHAT? REALLY? Make what stop? I couldn’t make out the whole conversation, but I think it was obvious to the Police who woke everyone up that this woman is clearly crazy. I am hoping and praying that this isn’t going to become a normal thing.

I’m going to be reading live blogs from the WWDC and hopefully listening to a live stream during the WWDC Keynote from Steve Jobs.  Instead of tweeting every time I hear something awesome, I’ll just be making a list here, on my blog.  I won’t include everything, just what i think is awesome.  Oh and just so you know I along with the rest of the world will be terribly disappointed in no new iPhone is being announced!

• Updates on the iPad… Apple Sells one iPad every 3 seconds currently. Steve commented on an e-mail he received “It is magical, I know it because I got this email: I was sitting in a café with my iPad, and it got a girl interested in me!.” “So there’s proof.”
• 8500 iPad apps in the App Store for the iPad. 35 Million Apps have been downloaded.  That is about 17 per iPad in existence.
• New updates are coming for the iPad.  (i.e. PDF Viewing built in to the iBooks app)
• NetFlix is on the iPhone (c0mming this summer) Hmmm when the new phone comes out??? LOL
• OMG, Farmville is coming to the iPhone…  “Thank you for having us today. Today we’re introducing ‘Farming’ for the iPhone. ‘Farmville’ is our most popular game, and we’re excited to bring it to the most popular mobile platform in the world.” – Mark from Zynga  This is of course interesting because Farmville is a famous FLASH game! Wethering crop push notifications, lol! Coming the end of June.

Dailybooth has been around since February 2009.  I snapped my first picture on March 17, 2009 and the caption read “Ummmmmm, I’m thinking what is this…lol.”  Since then I have used it off and on and now realize that even though it is fairly popular among the “tech” bloggers I follow its not become popular with my regular friends or any of my Facebook friends.  Well, not that I know of.  So if you are like me your thinking what the heck is it?  Wikipedia gives it this description

“DailyBooth is a photoblogging website designed for users to take a photo of themselves every day with a caption, in order to document and share their life with others, thus the slogan “your life in pictures.” It is similar to social-networking websites such as Twitter in that you can follow other users and allow them to follow you in turn and get real-time updates on what other people are doing.”

It connects seamlessly to twitter (which I just set up tonight) and allows postings from your mobile phone or directly from your computer and web camera.  I think that it not only interesting to see how creative people get with their self portraits but also how much you change over time.  It is really just another fun little time waster.  Its not much fun boothin’ by yourself so why don’t you sign up and follow me??  HERE IS MY PROFILE

I saw these rumors and images floating around the web last week before I went to NYC.  Today I found a more detailed article with specifics about what was “found.”  Last week I saw a few pictures and stories claiming that Apple’s new iPhone was found on a bar floor disguised as a 3GS.  I looked, but forgot about it.  Found it again today with more details attached.  What do you think?  I know there are rumors about a July launch (my full AT&T discount is good then, probably just a coincidence) and that AT&T’s contract is over with Apple at that point as well, opening the door for other carriers such as Verzion to carry the iPhone.  Everything is just speculation at this point, but interesting at the same time.  This article explains that the new iPhone will have a micro sim card (like the new iPad 3G) which makes me scratch my head when it comes to moving to Verizon, of course, there could be more than one model.   Only time will tell.  My suggestion to anyone who wants an iPhone or is thinking about changing plans or phones in general is to wait until July!
